It started with a few people and a few branches. We weren't planning on starting the church yet, but God spoke to Pastor Irene, saying the gospel and worship should be the foundation of our ministry. It should have come earlier; people need deliverance and healing in Christ as much as in their physical bodies. So, we cut down some trees, borrowed some benches, and put out the word--Daystar Church is starting!
Christian believers and Muslim seekers have been gathering together for about a month now. Our numbers are growing steadily, and we've seen 40 of our neighbors come to Christ!
Every Sunday evening, we go out to the marketplace and preach the gospel. Last week, one woman gave her life to Christ right in front of the tomato stall. Praise the Lord! We pray for spiritual revival here in Namalemba and that the love of Christ would go forth powerfully through every aspect of our ministry.
In His presence there is fullness of Joy and at His right hand there are pleasures forever more.
